Bogey's fedora
Nice pics. Looks like a pinch front, perhaps a Stetson. The trench is reportedly an Aquascutum, may be lore, because that's what he and
Clark Gable wore in their private lives. Heading out to buy a black winter fedora today. Probably opt for a Bailey. Gotta respectfully disagree with you MK. London Fog makes an OK product, but some years ago, they moved their operations out of the states, had a plant here in MO. Now they're offshore and the quality has decreased considerably. One or two factories cranks out trenches under a variety of brand names including Bill Blass. Aquasucutum, has been making trenches in the same plant since about the turn of the century. Pricey, but worth it. Once in a while you can pick one up on Ebay, but you gotta watch for the ones made in Canada. Bears the same name, but ain't quite the genuine article. You have a great page, glad I ran across it. Wish I'd held on to my Dad's lids when he passed away, he had some classics. Best regards. JT |
