Reproductions By Orvis
Orvis the Outdoor Outfitters in now selling WWII aviator and officer clothing. They have boots, jackets, shirts, pants, and others. The problem is they are a bit expensive.
Heres the Site: http://www.orvis.com/store/product_directory_showcase3.asp?dir%5Fid=885&group %5Fid=7668&cat%5Fid=7603&subcat%5Fid=7602 |

I saw these- they are expensive and not very "authentic" at all. The "pinks" officers slacks are not too bad but the rest are not in any correct style or fabric. Any of the Reenactor suppliers offer authentic repros and better value.

Hey, Mycroft, that avatar of yours is about the creepiest picture I've seen in a long time. Looks like the last thing a Nazi might have seen before being assassinated by the French underground. Or perhaps it is from the point of view of a german shepherd, since it's black-and-white and appears to be a negative image.

If I'm not mistaken, his avatar is of the classic comic hero The Sandman. http://www.toyotter.com/dc/gasandman.html http://mywebpages.comcast.net/dstepp...20Archives.htm http://www.dcuguide.com/Who/Sandman1_Bio.php Hope these links help.

By the way LuckyLighter... got any other good pictures of Mike Hammer? I miss that show, and also the revival they did of the show in the 90's.

You are correct it is a classic picture of the pulp and comicbook hero sandman. I think it defines an era of pulp and comic books that will never happen again. Sandman is similar to the comic heros of the Shadow, Crimson Avenger (old one), and others.
