Macy Thanksgiving Floats from the 1930s

I think it was on Letterman tonight that mentioned the Macy's parade is going to feature balloon floats reminiscent of the 1930s...just wanted to give y'all a head's up. (The floats may be called something else but it's 12:30 am here and I'm having a brain burp trying to remember, but I believe they were referring to the air floats attached with ropes.)
