50's evening hairstyles
Hi ladies.
I know the 50s are a little late for us, but it seems all of the vintage things I've inherited are from the 1950s, and I have not yet had the opportunity to accquire earlier things. Therefore, I must attend the QM summit in my 50s gear. What on earth do I do with my hair?? It's just about shoulder length, and heavily layered. Here's an image of the dress (I've since purchased a hefty piece of shapewear to go under it!) and my hair at its current length. Suggestions would be deeply appreciated! ![]() ~ Queenie. |

I have a mid 50's hair magazine. I'll try to track it down.

Joy! Rapture!
Thanks Lauren! Any 50s cosmetic tips would be a big help, too. ~ Queenie |

Thanks for the great links, Ms. Casino! I think I'll try curling it, and if that's not satisfactory, I'll put it up in a twist! The dress came from my mother; don't know where she got if from, though.

I found it! Daniel brought it over late last night. It's from 1951. Are you going to be about on the ship today or tommorrow? I don't have time to upload them today. I'll PM you my number.

I don't know if you still need ideas, but I came across this one that would probably work for layered hair,
