More Warbling

Cheers Shangas, Johnny, Fraser & Derek! I hope you don't mind one more. It's a clip from a gig I did with my Bakelite Dance Band last Thursday

Cheers

Your voice is a damn sight better than my playing, I'll say that much.

I'm currently learning how to play "Make Yourself a Happiness Pie" (from 1930). I'm having a bit of a time with the bridge, but I should be able to pop up a recording soon. It's taking a bit longer than usual because I'm picking the entire song out by ear! No sheet-music...

I've Got a Crush on You

Here is one more that I like. "I've Got a Crush on You", in acapella.

As I said in a comment I left: I apologize for the lack of decent video/audio, as I took this with an iPod and I don't fully understand how to use them, otherwise I would have inserted a picture of Kay Kyser or something like that.

Something I noticed after really listening to it: Strange how little emotion I put into it. I was quite nervous - perhaps that's why.

Sweet!!!! Thanks Derek for sharing that with us! I know what you mean when you say you were "quite nervous". And its funny you sing that song cause last week a co-worker showed it to me and said he loved it. Thats when I heard it for the first time and, yes, I like it very much also.

So, I have been promising to post here for a while. This one is less than satisfactory, but I think it shows my voice alright. My accompanist in this recording had never looked at the music before, so we are not quite a perfect team yet, but oh well.

Here is another one from a wedding I sang recently. It is a little on the low side, but it works.

I don't have a great voice, but I can stay on key for the most part at least. Here's an original "showing off" my Jimmie Rogers-ish yodeling skills.
