Practically Family
I've started a database file with us in it. If you post or message me your jacket length (S/R/L), your waist and leg measurements, and your prefered cut, i.e. classic, athletic, or portly, then I'll slap it all in there and if I get one to trade I'll let you know. Here's the first update: at the moment I have nothing to trade. We're the only people in the club. Also it doesn't have a name. Still, I hope to collect more traders for the club as we go along. I did just have a really nice Chaps 42R black solid suit, 100% wool of course, but I gave it to a friend who I think it'll fit perfectly. However if it doesn't I might get that back. I should probably add a bit in the database for prefered colors and patterns too. I myself like black, navy, gray, blue and dark browns, in solids or muted pinstripes and plaids. No tans. Hate them.

Anyone else who wants in, let me know.
I'll go for the 44 longs and I like the tans and dark browns. John

I'm brand new to this, but it has been a good month.

1940s heavy wool overcoat (finest I've ever seen):

1950s-1960s Harris Tweed overcoat:

Vintage tie:

1950s Cricketeer jacket (a little too big for me):
p1201475-vi.jpg

1950s Rugby wool overcoat:
p1201487-vi.jpg

1940s formal suit:
p2162006-vi.jpg

p2162019-vi.jpg

1940s DB suit jacket:
p2292343-vi.jpg

1960s suit (I LOVE the fabric of this one):
p2111908-vi.jpg

Unfortunately, the Cricketeer, the 1940s DB suit jacket, as well as the very nice early 1960s wool suit are all around size 44 (Cricketeer is more of a 42) and cannot fit me correctly (I am more of a 39R)...I'm totally open to trades!

Love the 'Rugby' short coat, some good finds there RL.

Thanks esteban! Not pictured are also a late 1950s-early 1960s green plaid-ish sport coat and a burgundy sharkskin coat dated 1966 which both fit me like a glove.

I also recently found a 1939 Union label tan overcoat that I'm thinking about picking up. It is much thinner and lighter than my others, but I can't get enough of this. I also know of a 1949 Union label overcoat that is a nice woven wool, brown in color. However, I can't have a closet overflowing with overcoats...just too many good deals!

What is one to do?
