Hand-Made Romanian Steampunk TV Set

  1. That is so neat but you will have to step down the voltage to 110V for it to work in your home.
  2. You'll also need a PAL to NTSC converter for operation in the US (and a digital to analog converter if you don't already have one.) And I'd still recommend a pair of insulated gloves to wear when turning it on.
  3. If you need insulated gloves to watch TV you really begin to question your viewing habits.
  4. If it only draws 15 watts it must be a repackaged solid state set. If so the tube we see atop the chassis may be a dummy.

Can we watch old Ceausescu broadcasts on this ?

Looks gorgeous, if a touch pricey. So much prettier than most modern sets, though!
