My wife said I brought this on myself by complaining in an earlier thread about a crushed straw in "worst shipping ever". But this is a box somebody at USPS took out their bad day on:

Not to worry, the Adam Executive came through virtually unscathed. At least nothing a little steam bath won't fix.

In a classic example of pointless finger-pointing, the box is repeatedly stamped with "RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION." Right, the seller put it in the mail that way.

Received damaged? Doubtful

Maybe the seller got tired of the plain old cube shaped box, smashed in a corner and mailed it. I know if I was a seller of fine hats, I would always shipped damaged to get good reviews

Good that the hat came through ok, looks great!

Sincerely,
Rob

That hat's a survivor!

Nice one, too. My Adam Executive arrived
totally crushed. Took steam, blocking, and ironing
to make it look nice again. That's when I saw the
odd way that, at least my Executive's felt crushed
with rough edges- kinda like cardboard. A much more
brittle or crunchy felt than, say, a Mallory. But it came
back together okay without having to send it out
for professional blocking.

It is the postal carrier who makes me hesitate to
bid big on eBay. Many's the irreplaceable item I
have received in pieces. Not to say that all eBay
sellers know how to pack for the post.

All's well that ends well.

On the move again...
Nice to see that the hat came through ok. Looks like Ace Vetura got a hold of the box on his delivery route. Maybe the deliverer used the box as a wheel chock when parking on a hill. Amazing.

Cheers!
