John, not only is that a great hat, but that's a great photo! With the exception of the satellite dish you could be standing in 1940, but what I really like is the candid quality. That photo is just full of joie de vivre.

How is this ?

Many thanks for your kind words.

(Oddly enough, we were heading out to a funeral of a fellow congregation member. Richard Wallingford, AKA Wally of Wally's Bicycles in Baldwin Park area. Swell guy, and my faith tells me I will get to see him again in Heaven!):)

RBH the same idea came to me (removal of the dish), this should be scary (for you anyway). Having the same thoughts as me could be hazardous to your health. haha

As the old saying goes
"Great minds think alike"

After all we both like fedoras.
It could be that the fedora is a dish to funnell the great thoughts.

Brethern of the Thin Ribbon...

we are falling behind.
The Broad Band Brotherhood is by and far outpaceing us on post.

Here is a repost of my Miller straw that I replaced the ribbon on this past summer. It was a great summer hat, and held up well. I will break it out again next summer.

I'm sorry, I'm sure he was a great guy. Anyone who sells bicycles for a living must be a good guy! I mean, how could you watch a kid with his or her first bike, and not have a smile for days afterwards. I think selling bikes would be a pretty nice job.

I'll have to add a few pics of my Open Road when I get home tonight. Can't let those BBB guys surpass us!

My Thin Ribbon Collection...

..heck, it's all I have. Two BCF specials impersonating Stetson Playboys, and my Open Road. Posted elsewhere, but put here to revitalize this great thread started by Brother RBH:
