You're right. Since I was the one who started this thread, I feel I should do something about it. Let’s hear it for the dogs !
haha, I'm tellin' ya I have a dog that tries for all he's worth to talk to us. The sounds that come out of him are not words only by the fact that he doesn't have the oral musculature to speak words. But he tries.
Why do certain flavors go well together? E.g. chicken/coleslaw, tomato/mozarella, walnuts/honey, tuna/mayonaise, macaroni/cheese?
I can only answer the cheese related ones which is: Cheese goes with everything and, if it doesn't, then it is the other thing's fault.
I tend to overdo it with the salad dressing when eating leafy vegetables. It's not enjoyable to eat lettuce, onions or sliced tomatos without some dressing. Brussel sprouts have a strong or bitter taste no matter how it's cooked. I'll eat it but I tend to put too much salt or butter in order to swallow. I can tolerate tomato in pizza or spagetti sauce.
I love Marzetti 'buttermilk' ranch dressing..!! I wanna know why it's called 'ranch' before I kick the bucket...
Aaaah.... let us not forget the mother of Brussel sprouts.... the venerable cabbage which can keep you going & going & going!
Credit a Nebraska cowboy! While cooking in Alaska, he refined a recipe for buttermilk dressing. This dressing became the house dressing at Hidden Valley Ranch, a dude ranch the Hensons purchased near Santa Barbara, Calif., in 1954. ... The name Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing was originally trademarked by Henson. Btw: Please don't kick that bucket just yet! Call me greedy... but I want you around for a spell on the Lounge. I enjoy your posts so much.
Our Miniature Schnauzer, Butch, is definitely one of those. Between his vocalizations and his expressive face, we can almost always tell exactly what's on his mind. Bologna and whipped cream, peanut butter and pickles...
Why thank you 2jakes.. I do plan to be here for a while longer.. Zombie...my late Wife and I had several miniature Schnauzers over the years. My favorite dog for many reasons..one being great personalities..
According to my friend on the Lounge with whom I have 100 % confidence. The reason the ocean is so near the shore is because that’s... “Where The Tourist Meet The Sea!"
