That sounds like flu. Hope you feel as bright as your socks look ASAP.
That is a sweet hat. I covet.
Rock Solid, Rick!! Beautiful hat from a great brand.
Looking good this morning. Nice Fed IV, this is the color I would go with.
I love seeing this Black Cherry Gannon. I'm thinking this will be my Gannon order soon. Got to get in that queue!
Fantastic crown height! Nice conversion, did it start out as a western?
Yet another brand I'm learning about. Great looking hat, very interesting! Mid to Late 50s vintage?
Yessir and Thank you! It was an old Round Up with a very wide brim and the crown is almost 6" tall. I like tall, non tapered crowns. I simply trimmed and sanded the brim down to 3" and put a nice Diamond crease in the crown.
Gotta post and run. I have a snow day off from the office... but MrsFed has home appointments to do so I'm her driver.... Driving MrsFed, ha! We got around 4-5" is all...
At 56 I finally discovered the use of a kitchen dust bin to remove snow from your car:
He DOES look cool, Jay... he's with YOU, who's wearing a top shelf lid, as usual!
Thanks! I didn't think anyone was that interested in an old beater. I posted in the Conversion Corral my process and some more pics of it.
FED IV today.
Northwest Hat Co. Early 50's vintage hat body. 3 inch whipstitch brim.

That is such a great hat
That's my new favourite of yours.
Super great looking. And perfect with the jacket, scarf and sweater.
Momentary diversion... Should this go in the Hats in Artworks thread, or the Jokes About Hats thread? This is from the compilation of cartoons titled "Never Eat Anything Bigger Than Your Head," by B. Kliban,
I need a whip stitch brim hat. Now to find the perfect old body (not my old body, a hat) to have Mike do his magic on!
