Though I haven't even left the house, I'm wearing this one: Clearwater Hats derby, with a horsehair band I picked up yesterday.

Great looking Clearwater derby, bowelerman. I have a couple of their hats that I use for reenacting and Cowboy Action Shooting. They use great fur felt, and wear like iron! You won't wear it out in your lifetime. What did they put in it for a liner?

Looking sharp as usual, Manfred.

Javier, I think you look dapper in those stingy brims! Not sure I could pull that off!

Howdy, DWD! Nice look with the turban!

Thanks for the comments, all! I do enjoy this hat, even if it doesn't accurately fit in the traditional bowler category.
Bowlerman..love that hat. What kind of ribbon is that?

thanks! there's a 1 inch black grosgrain ribbon/bow around the hat, but I also added that red/black/beige horsehair tassel band yesterday-- just picked one up at a local western store.

I'm impressed with the felt quality too. I think I may need to have this reblocked, though, because I had to stretch it quite a bit and the front and back have a lot of taper now. The inside consists of a very wide and thin unreeded leather sweatband, and kind of a red and white gingham kitchen curtain type of liner that says "Cyrus Douglas Beaver Hats, St. Louis." I'll post pics after taking a few.

Jeff, I love the bowler with the horsehair band. It has an "Old West" flair.

Perry-- thanks dude! In the summertime, for some reason, I have a hard time staying away from the western flair hats! Your grey Adam looks like perfection. nice choice.

David, superbe ArtLite. I love this ribbon!

Thanks, Manfred - several of the Lounge members have VS hats with this same ribbon. It is one of my favorites from Mr Fawcett's collection

Not a man, but a lover of hats. Today since its raining...a Turban!

The Turban looks great, DameWhoDrinks!

David-- glad you're really enjoying that Artlite! It looks really fantastic. But c'mon, man! It's Tuesday! ;)

Thanks, Jeff. In my defense, I must say that I did wear my Silverbelly Tumwater first thing this morning. When I noticed that the weather forecast was for mid-80's I swapped to the lighter and ventilated hat.

Your Clearwater Hat is wild!

How can I resist a panama during the summer....

If you think you have seen this ribbon before, you are right.....

Thanks to DJH who decided he liked a wine colored ribbon more than this Dusty Peach on his new Black Sheep hat........ After seeing his hat I knew I just had to have this on a Panama..

Thanks to Panama Bob for the nice deal on the Panama and of course Thanks to Bob Jessee for swapping the ribbon for me........

Fantastic, OG! The infamous Peach ribbon works really well with the new Panama. I'm really glad that everything worked out so well.

Hatto - I like your Adam today. Light grey and black is a killer combo!

Steve - nice colours on your Peschel too. How wide is the brim, looks to be a shade over 2 inches maybe?

Will be posting some photos as soon as I figure out how to get around and do things here....Still reading the FAQ's and trying to learn how to navigate around.. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to save threads for quick access?

Welcome, and the secret to photo posting is two-fold:
1. You must use somebody else's server (no direct uploads)
2. Select "From URL" and UN-CHECK that stupid "retrieve" box after you paste your photo's web address.

After that, it's all magic.

Where in Tampa? My sister lives in South Tampa, near the Yacht & Country Club.

bowlerman , that Panama bowler is awesome, I've never seen anything like it. It appears new and sparkling clean or is it vintage ? Sweet either way.

Thank you for the nice words Chepstow and hatophile..

And thanks for the words and ribbon (sort of ) DJH :D

And DWD "I'm loving the peach on the Panama, ordinary guy. Your tough face expression is also fabulous"

I was trying to tone down that look since it has been mentioned before. guess I need to try harder...:D:D

Perry, Thanks! I think it works with this hat's brim width.

David, Thanks! You are correct about the brim width. I really like wearing this one even though it's a later look (probably late 50s).

Thanks coble! That's Tasha, she's a Siberian Husky, though someone once suspected that there could have been wolf mixed several generations back, due to the shortness of her legs.
As for the guitar, haha! That is my daughter's electric-- a Fender Squire Strat, which is infinitely better than my go-to electric: an old "Grand Prix" Strat clone that I bought in a pawn shop in college for $30. But the Grand Prix just has a certain voice to it that I can't seem to get enough of-- a little dirt or trash in the sound, perhaps, and I like it!

Thank you, peach. It is probably a 2008 vintage. ;) I had it custom made by Texas Hatters in their entry-level Panama straw. One day I think I'd like to get one with a finer weave Montecristi.

Good evening. Summertime means that the dogs and I can stroll around the lake with the wanning sunlight. Pleasant 65'F evening for wearing my smaller brimmed milan.

Very nice milan for the original purchase price of $10.95!

Enjoy the evening folks. Best, Eric -
