for 2012, my bf and I, and my two teens are all going to a dance at a hotel on Oct 20. Costumes are admired but not required.

My 18dd is planning on being Catwoman ala' Ann Hathaway in a black evening gown with cat ears and a black lace eye mask. My 16yo ds already got the Captain America haircut, and has a dated 1944 vintage Ike jacket (Staff Sargeant rank) with all the correct patches, a khaki shirt and the matching tie. I am taking him to my vintage dealer this afternoon after school to get the slacks, maybe shoes, and a officer's cap.

My bf and I are going as Nick and Nora Charles in early 1940s vintage garb. He's been working on growing a pencil moustache just for the occasion. I recently got my rayon beaded vintage evening gown shortened a bit so I would tear out the hem (again) while dancing n it.

I'm actually going to a party this year, and will be going as a 50's greaser. Jeans with the cuffs rolled up, white t-shirt, boots, and of course my black leather jacket. Do my hair up in a pompador and I'm ready to rock.

I'm going to buy an oversize fancy dress skeleton suit and ride my motorbike. Don't know if it's legal for my pillion to wave a Grim Reaper scythe while riding along though.

If anything turns up to go to...I expect I will just dress as Rosie the Riveter, however I do loathe wearing the work boots so additional consideration required.

Rich....oh HALLOWEEN? Sorry. ;)

Sounds like a fun time.

"The Man With No Name" of the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns. Took a year or so of chasing all the right stuff down at foolish cost. Just finished distressing/bleaching some brown rough-out boots that were a one run-and-done from Fugawee; have a Cimarron Arms Colt conversion and will grow the requisite 5 day beard next week. Just got the leather wrist cuff today.
Of course, at my age, I 'll just look like the old coot in 'Grand Torino' dressing up.
