Good Saturday to all!
Out and about today in the cool spring sunshine with a vintage (C&K Custom Hatters, LA, circa 1945, green/gray, overwelted 2-3/4" brim) favorite.

Good day. Picking up limbs freed from the frozen snow this morning. Overnight a hard rain reduced the snow cover significantly.

1st of all thanks for the kind comments on the VS thread,
Great Strat i recently scored a brown one & love it, I still Sport the Strat i was lucky to get from you a while back.
Yours looks great & i love the Pendletons you sport, Pendletons go a long way back with me & glad to see a American Company
Still putting out quality & the famous colors & shadow plaids,,, Which mix & match so easy ,,,,Layering in necessary in MN im sure.

Rusty,
OK now the Beaver Brown Buckaroo of yours is my Fave, Just Killer Old School look, fit, blocking, yup a winner
I know we like the Stetson Playboy style Hats & yes the VS Dove would be a single keeper & (a go for),
If we were actually back in the days of past & 1 Daily hat & 1 Sunday hat, The Playboy could fit both needs.
We Are Fortunate to have so many hats today & the caliber of quality,,, A good Vice & reward for hard work !!!

hatsRme,
your C&K is the epitome of Slick those rare hats had the felt of gods
Thank you for your Kind Comments as well & yes we do need to share a thread with the younger set !
Your Sidekick is Handsome & Just looks so cool & you as well as my grandkids say (were a team)
I see in your pic Me & my Grandpa as if i were looking in a mirror of memories, (im not saying your old like me if you know what i mean)
My Grandpa never seemed old to me but he was Old School in his ways.
we were always hatted he always had a humble suit & tie on
But was always happy to have me around & proud
I take pics today & dont even think about the great pics that could have been, well we are in a diffrent era today
These kids have it great ! Good Job My Man !!!

I am standing in front of a 3,500 horsepower DC motor 20 feet in diameter with covers. There are 3 of them coupled together to drive a gearbox which turns 1 rolling mill. There are 7 mills in this section. Largest motors I maintain are 15,000 horsepower. We roll a 9 inch thick 40 foot long slab into sheet steel. A better pic

Iain--the Campdraft works with your attire and the setting to make for some great photos.

Rogera--thank you, sir. I've got relatives all over East Texas, many in Houston, and when I found out that Stetson was originally sold at Shudde Brothers, originally on Main Street in Houston, probably in the '40s, it became a more significant find.

AnA--another great looking topper for you. I really like the ribbon color combination.

Manfred--Thank you for your comments, as always.

hatsRme--I can see why the C&K is a favorite, and it's good to see that photo of you and your visiting dignitary again.

RBH--love to see the tall crowns!

Eric--nice Strat. (I know in the world of guitars, that has a different meaning). Keeping my eye open for a vintage brown in my size.

howardeye--hats off to you, sir, for keeping those big motors running. There aren't too many folks left in this country who can do what you do.

rlk--I like the cap/glasses/coat/shirt combo.

Custom Black Sheep in the sunshine (still -4C outside).

I'm playing catch up here - just so many fantastic hats.

This one is one of my favorites, Jockos - what an incredibly cool hat, it is just perfect for you. Don't see many hats in that colour felt (I guess most of us are too conservative), but fellow Lounger Pompidou has one that Art Fawcett made - also a stunning hat. Did yours originally have that little curly springy thingy from Bob?

Iain, you wear your Campdraft really well.

Bert - cool photo with the heavy duty motor. You should get one of those fedora style hard hats if your company would let you get away with it.

Che - I love the new Dove ArtLite and it is always great to see you enjoying the company of your grandchildren. That goes for you too Charlie - makes me wish I lived on the same continent as my grandkids :(

Spring arrived here all of a sudden today.

I wore my favorite (and free since I won it on the Headwear Association's Facebook page) hiking straw and later my VS/Optimo Dualist.
