I had heard this was a thick-felted hat. Now I see.

Yeah, the felt is a bit thicker than most of my other hats, but it works in that it's great for a snowy day because your head doesn't feel a single flake!

New Akubra Bushman arrived today. I love these on rainy days.

I sold my Snowy River to get the Bushman...really happy with it! -bashed it quickly this afternoon and took it out for a drizzly walk to check out the flooding in the nearby Ohio River.
