Hey folks!
Yesterday was non-stop rain. Spent most of the day indoors. I wore this Dobbs West briefly to make a run to the pharmacy. I'm wearing it again today to dry it out.

More shots tomorrow, but here's a first one (which doesn't really do it justice). The Dobbs gamebird Richard (Morgan) generously traded with me. Stunning felt, stunning hat, stunning everything. It was a size too small, but It took hardly any persuasion to convince it that it was the hat for me. Thanks go out to Richard for this one.

Thanks Professor Zombie!
150 - pressure relief valve releases tank pressure
140 - compressor stops pumping air into the tank
100 - compressor kicks on
75 - the pressure at which I don’t remember anymore
55 - the tractor safety valve cuts off air to the trailer?
20 - 45 the spring breaks will come on...
"Professor Zombie".

Just because it's important to remember when you're "on the job", between 75 and 55 PSI the "Low Air Pressure Warning Device" should activate, and if that ever happens you need to safely but quickly park the truck because once those spring brakes activate that truck isn't going anywhere until the problem is repaired.

My apologies for going off-topic. We now return you to the regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.

Finally found my 1st Vintage Borsalino. Surprisingly, I messaged the etsy seller with a price $90 lower than what was listed and they accepted it. Seems to be in excellent condition. Now just need to watch those "how to shape your borsalino" videos on youtube as the current bash is a bit crooked.

if mine, large pot, small amount of water, 30 seconds steam, yeh the whole crown in the pot, don't touch the edges, and
push it all out, bowler like, then cool, then steam in a center dent, pinch. It needs a crown raise of 1cm. European hats dinnae take other creases as well. Wonderful hat.

That's a beauty Wyld. Should re-crease pretty easily. I think it was @Hurricane Jack who said that after he opens the crown he puts the hat on and puts a match in the ribbon to mark the center of the pinch and builds the crease from that point. I found that helpful. Or maybe that was @BobHufford.

I generally use a paperclip on the brim to align everything up.

Greetings WK et al:
That is one super fine vintage Borsalino in anyones book!! One heck of a vintage start. Many look long and hard for one as fine as that!
Good go. Thanks for sharing.

Tried to get out and back home before the 50 mph windstorm hit today. Just to be safe, I went aerodynamic with the Dunstatter Mystery Derby. I had the sweat replaced (old and crumbled stitching on a non-reed original) so it is an all purpose, wearable go-to derby.

Spiffy derby Red. I like that shirt too. Hope it stayed on your head in the wind.

The pinch over the right eye is a thing. Damn fine looking Borsalino. You should post it in the Borsalino Brotherhood thread. Where was it sold? Is there a store logo on the sweat?
