I know this is likely a long shot, but I would like to purchase a fedora (reproduction, or vintage), that would be appropriate/correct for 1928-1934. I am generally a 7 1/8 long oval. I would prefer a wide crown ribbon. If anyone reading this knows of a source that might have something in stock, please let me know, as I am needing this in one week. In terms of in stock, must be high quality only.

Many Thanks!

Would be able to post a picture of the hat you seek? There were many styles of hat in that era so specifics would help. What colour? Do you need it in hand in one week? Shipping a hat will take more than a week. What city do you live in and perhaps we can direct you to a hat shop near by.

Thanks very much for the prompt reply. Hopefully the image attached will show. In terms of color, I am open to anything in the silver belly family, black, or grey. I live in rural southern Va, so no luck on quality hatters.

Suggest you phone Delmonico Hatters or JJ Hatters in NYC. Explain your needs and I would bet they would have something that could replicate this look. Then with a courier it could get into your hands within the week.

The difficulty is unless the source is close to you it won't make it into your hands within the week. There is Brass Rooster in Milwaukie, FineVintageFedoras on Etsy.com. Northwest Hats in Eugene might have something on the shelf that they could courier to you.

I have an early Thirties grey fedora that might be perfect and is 7 1/8. If you want to DM your email address I’ll send some pics later this evening.
