The jacket is great but I'm curious; What was the bet that you lost so you had to wear those... Shoes?
:p
congrats Jonesy, great fit, doesn't need hot surf water treatment. although by the last pic you look like thinking to jump off the pier.
He told me that he made the jacket in XXXL, washed and tumbled it for 8 hours, measuring it frequently to get the exact fit he was looking for. I think that a gteat part of his process is artistic and intuitive, especially as he had this skin thinned down by the tannery to make a Hawai’i weight jacket.

What zipper is it on that one, Riri or another? Thedi seem to have an interesting selection of nice zippers.
I’m not really sure what zipper he used. I do know he used a #10 main, and #5 pocket in brass.

Now that, to me, is very interesting and seems to explain how I perceive the look of Thedi leather used in jackets. Washing and tumbling it for such a long time sure gives it a "look". Great looking jackets for sure. Congratulations.

Didn't feel like starting a new thread so reviving this one instead. It's been two months now since I was on a family vacation in Greece and I wanted to post some pictures from my visit to Thedi.

Okey you got me, the family vacation was just an excuse to be able to go to Thessaloniki and visit the Thedi shop/showroom and pick up my latest jacket in person.

I had ordered the jacket in March this year and picked it up in September.

Some interior shots. Walls are lined with amazing jackets.

Thedi's deerskin look amazing. Very cool grain and striations on the sleeve especially.

I think I tried almost all the jackets in the shop. A lot of them actually fit me really well. Goat blazer, deerskin racer and horsehide grizzly below were some of my favourites. It was such a fantastic opportunity to be able to try on so many jackets. I was more than a little tempted to ask if they were for sale. But honestly, my leather jacket budget was already maxed out with my custom order.

Two more jackets that I really liked was the cross zip with hair panels. It's probably the most extravagant design that they do. Very much a conversation starter piece! The canvas coat was also really cool. I almost died of a heat stroke trying it on as it was close to 30 Celsius that day. Also, I'm not sure if you're supposed to pair it with sandals.

Close up of the sleeve grain on the grizzly pictured in the previous post. Theodoros told me this was shrunken horse. I love it and I definitely want this in the future.

Another close up of the deerskin racer. Very cool striations.

Awesome. Thanks for taking the time. That deerskin is the coolest I’ve seen. Beautiful.

The shrunken horse looks like shark.

Theodoros was running late about 1,5 hours to our appointment, but his colleague Rania was taking good care of me in the meantime. The waiting wasn't a problem except that I was feeling nervous about the jacket. Would it fit?

Eventually Theodoros showed up with my jacket that he brought directly from the workshop. He explained that the delay was because he discovered a quality issue with the jacket the same morning. They had to replace one of the front panels because the leather had a small ugly mark in it. He showed me the old panel and honestly the mark was so small I probably wouldn't have noticed. This attention to detail and quality is honestly amazing. Theodoros really goes the extra mile to make his customers happy.

I could also tell that I was not the only one feeling a bit nervous about the jacket. Theodoros was also feeling nervous! I could tell how relieved and pleased he was when I put it on and it fit me perfectly and I was very happy with it.

We chatted for a bit and then posed for a few pictures on the street outside the shop. You can easily tell how passionate he is about what he do and he's a very generous and kind person.

I would definitely recommend a visit to Thessaloniki for the full Thedi experience :)

That's exactly what I told Theodoros! But apparently it's horsehide that goes through a special tanning process where they also shrink it and it comes out looking like shark.

Another great Thedi and write up of your visit! Thank you for sharing.

My wife wants to go back to Hawaii next year for our 10-yr anniversary, but deep down I'm scheming on how to convince her that we should go to Thessaloniki.

Thessaloniki is not that fun for a vacation but Halkidiki is just 1,5 hour by car or bus from the city. Image google Halkidiki and show her the pictures. Might convince her
