That’s usually a back I associate with LA Sportogs. They also used the same rectangular D rings like CSC on some of their jackets.


CSC made jackets with that back as well but I think only for other labels if I’m not mistaken like that cats eye you pictured.

CSC and LA Sportogs are very closely related which makes sense since they were both LA based. They may have even gotten their hardware from the same place. They also both made the same jackets for the same companies. Here are two examples of a Sears Topline, two by LA Sportogs and one by CSC.

I’m a licensed ship captain and this is one of my “work” jackets: early 1980’s vintage Avirex G-1 with the nicest, grainiest goatskin imaginable! Added an Acme Thunderer whistle and an anchor shaped zip puller. Anchors aweigh!

Thanks. I just ordered a regular size 42 Sheene and put 'with 50s highwayman details' in the notes section.
I also asked for a Highwayman Label, but Aero shot that one down, and I respected that.
So I guess it is still just a Sheene, with custom design features.
The back is a complete new pattern as far as I can tell when compared to my Aero CR, no neck hang issue. I will post some compare photos in that Sheene-Man thread soon.

Big shout out to Julie! She knows what shes doing and is the best.

Jacket season finally arriving Down Under, hooray!!

Vanson Gambler in CW brown cowhide.
Weights like lead, wears like a feather. I have no idea how Vanson does it, but their patterns are the comfiest of all by a long margin.

I love the jacket and own one myself but the "Ramones fit" isn't really a thing. Sleeves just looked shorter on Joey because he was 6'6 wearing regular length jackets.

But congrats on the buy! I love those.
