What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Finished the dye job on my Jo-o-Kay. Turned out great and since today’s the last warming day for a bit I’ll take her for a test drive to work. This jacket started out pretty boring:

Post dye and it has a bit more flair. Reminds me of some of the H bar C western stuff.

Excellent transformation - you made the jacket into what it was meant to be. Another standout effort!

SB Car Coat in Black Mustang just arrived. A rather lovely thing. Weight distribution is perfect - no neck hang, fit across the body pretty much ideal. I really like the way that the sizing is true - this is a 40 which fits on par with OTR size 40s that fit well. At this sort of pattern and cut, it's the best initial fit I think I've had. Pics when I've broken it in for a few days.

Lol too late, @Yamahana already claimed this one.

He after the Cody Rancher. Not this one. Fair warning though, I’m not quite done with it yet. I have enough dye to do the two side back panels, so I’m doing that next. I think it’ll frame the back to match the front better.

The dye job looks fantastic. I have to admit that when I read about it before seeing your pictures my heart sank. “He ruined it!” But it really elevated the jacket!

Beautiful watch, very similar to some of the Grand Seiko sbg models.
Thanks :)

Yeah this is Citizens answer to Grand Seiko :) I do love both companies, but GS are often a bit to big for my wrists(this one being 37.5cm which is perfect for me), but they got some real nice models(Snowflake, White Birch and many more) that I would love to own.

Cheers!

It has no label. It is not like other short wool jackets I own. This one has the look and feel of a hunting jacket, more from that type of maker. Not like the catalog fashion jackets. It is coarse wool and in a plaid I associate more with "hunting" wear. It is a tradition half-belt., short and fitted at the belt. It has no "gathered" sides, but it appears they had a tuck on each side. These jackets have a very stylish cut, much different than a hunting jacket. The length is great for the car and nice to wear inside instead of leather.
Probably better range of motion than most leather jackets. Great find indeed!
