Lost Worlds jacket sleeves too wide

Pretty sure thats me you have quoted there...
In retrospect its not a problem at all.
It allows me to comfortably fit a thick jumper, which is necessary for a riding jacket in my part of the world.

With short gloves a small amount of air gets in through the worst, which is nice and cooling in summer.
If it is cold or raining i just wear gauntlet gloves above the wrist and seal everything shut.

So yeah, i did originally think the wrists where big, but after living with these jackets for years, riding with them in the heat and the cold, i would still say they are the best jackets i own, the only jackets i wear even though i have many other brands available.

I have not had a second thought about wrist opening size since that post was originally posted.
That’s great and reassuring to hear thanks! Maybe Stu does know his stuff really well!

The sleeves on my LW Ryder were a bit wide, especially considering the trim cut of the jacket. Having said that, it didn’t really bother me.

Regarding the idea that LW custom alters the sleeve measurements to suit their customers, that was not my experience with either of my two LW orders. Quite the contrary in fact. Stu discouraged any alterations to the stock pattern and the ones I did need, added sleeve and back length, cost me dearly.

Forget the sleeves. I can’t believe you sold the car.

Some days I think the same thing brother, I know I’ll never have another one like her. But I have gotten quite accustomed to the creature comforts of a new car, keyless entry, heated, and cooled seats it would be hard to give all of that up honestly.
I hear you,I've motorcycled since early70s,,still riding my completely restored 77 honda 400/4.but wild horse couldn't drag me from my 2024 triumph tiger gt Pro, heated seats, grips ,cruise etc,it's called moving with the times, nothing to do with getting old of course :)

You are barely holding on.
If the seams ever give up - need to ask Stu if they can switch to whatever holds the Golden Gate Bridge together

Thanks! I wasn’t aware LW offers customization for sleeves width - you may well be right I’m stuck with a custom order.

I’m fine with it as it’s a winter layering jacket.

Well I’ll know better when another LW jacket I bought arrives in a couple of weeks time.

I've never asked for sleeve widths to be customized, but in general, I’ve found his non-MC jackets to have wider sleeve ends - but not to the extent of needing gorilla arms as you put it.
It could be that the person especially mentioned they ride in cold weather layered up, so the jacket was made with relatively wider sleeve ends to accommodate.

Guys I stumbled on this older thread and looking at EVERY pic on it - my deduction is the LW wide sleeves are by design and universal across all models it seems?

Even zipped up the sleeves end at almost the knuckles - which is exactly what bothers me a little psychologically- practically how do I wash my hands without getting the sleeves wet lol!!

Or how do I dip into my jeans pockets to get keys out without stuffing that sleeve end in?!

Maybe I’m just really used to how my Aeros zip so snug at base of thumbs…

I do think my SD with one piece back and at just a slither under 4KG is better though!!

I AM however worried how wide the sleeves will be for the Easy Ryder that’s enroute to me! I definitely want clean and snug fitted sleeves that expose my hands when zipped up.

patterns intended for motorcycle use will have pretty long sleeves so you dont have bare wrists when holding the handlebars
