Marc/Veronica, those are some awsome photos... thanks.

I need to go scouting for those super pointy shirt collars that were the trend in the 30's. I run into them now and again at thrift stores though they are always the wrong size... next time I see one I'll get it for the sheer purpose of copying that dynamic curve and point.

Wow, the underwear on one of those pages looks similar to these: J. C. Penney Underwear

I have been searching for long-rise underwear to go with my long-rise pants so that I don't feel like my underwear is falling down. If they just had buttons instead of snaps.

Display cases in antique malls occasionally show old square/rectangular belt buckles like that: sterling, burnished gold, silver plated, or just nickel plated. They usually sell for $20 or less, depending on the metal and degree of wear. More expensive is the leather belt itself (which should be between 1" and 1 1/4" thick). You need to buy a belt with metal snaps, so that the buckle can be easily attached; also, the belt cannot have holes, because those buckles don't have prongs. Brooks Brothers carries these types of belts, but they're not cheap.

I bought a belt like this and it's been my favorite belt, after abhorring it after my father gave me several of these belts with huge chunky buckles. The one I bought had a small buckle that was almost level with the leather so it didn't create an unsightly bulge.
