    Any Tips on safari outfit?

I like the idea of the W&G (or something similar) "resurrection" but really wonder if people would really be willing to pay the price needed to produce the quality. W&G had slick advertising and a lot of great stuff and is gone. Fortunately I have tons of the stuff that will last me through my...

    Any Tips on safari outfit?

I watched that video series you mention and he did appear to have a problem. A bit sad to watch but some good hunting information and presented with Capstick humor and passion.

    Any Tips on safari outfit?

I would personally suggest Willis & Geiger safari clothing although its hard to find. Shot a nice Cape Buffalo and a couple of smaller things in Tanzania a couple of yeas ago and it worked well.

Some Great Things About My State (Or Regional Area) Are...

The state I reside in the few weeks a year I am back in the US is Texas. The greatest thing about it is its Texas. If you live here and love the place you know what that means. From a long term Californian who never looked back.

Strange Superstitions and The Superstitious Among Us

Last year I had a VERY bad experience after I placed my hat on the bed (had been told by my mother years ago NOT to do that). I know its a stupid superstition but will endeavor not to do that again!

    Hair Coloring " Gentleman"

I must admit to considering it as my moustache has completely greyed and the rest of my hair is still relatively dark. I've decided not to as I dont think I would be able to pull of a natural look with the kind of self care products I would have access to in the remote areas I reside. In...

Pro and Cons of Mortgage Strategic Defaults.

I have really enjoyed reading these posts and while it can be quite depressing living in a society where it seems some are trying to destroy the very concept of right and wrong, it is uplifiting to read the writings of sensible folk who understand the truth. This is one of the reasons I enjoy...

Pro and Cons of Mortgage Strategic Defaults.

Countryclubjoe, the two things that caught my eye were that your son CAN make the current payment and that he plans on squatting in the home for free for some time to save money. You asked for pros and cons and to me: 1. He can live with honor and continue his contract and hope for an upturn in...

    Exercise during the GE

I agree with other posters that in the past people in general lived a much more active existance and thus the need for exercise was less. Today so many people are sedentary and in addition some of our food choices are less than desirable thus it becomes important to do something physical. My...

    South Pacific Historians/researchers

Funny guys! On the other hand oh how I would have enjoyed being transported into a nice production of South Pacific after trekking a few hundred miles in that place! It can be rough country.

    Wearing vintage at home.

It's safari wear for me no matter where I am and the few weeks out of the year I am at my home in Texas is no different. I will admit though that not all my safari wear is truly vintage as I prefer the nylon (and quick drying) shorts. At home I will also at times wear a smoking jacket and a...

    South Pacific Historians/researchers

Good luck with your research. I've been to Biak on my way to the interior or Irian Jaya a number of times and did not realize it held major WWII signifigance. My earlier trips to the island of new Guinea were to PNG and the war there was more evident especially places I trekked like the Kokoda...
