Since I moved the pictures - decided to repost this and maybe start the thread up again . . .

yeah, if they've been that long out of a humidor, they're surely dry and the natural oils have all evaporated. You could remove them and store them in a humidor for a few months and they'll rehumidify, but they won't be as good as before. At least I don't think so, can't say I've tried one...
If you're lucky enough to find it, there used to be a bakelite cement that was used a long time ago, but not sure if that's readily available anymore. I've read that Araldite can also be used for bakelite, but can't say I've ever used it. Good luck.
Picked this up on ebay the other day. When I saw Gene's, I had been looking for one ever since. Was lucky enough to get one. Unfortunate thing is the cigarettes I like (Dunhill Fine Cuts) don't fit on the two lower racks, but I'm sure I can find some replacements. Good thing is they do fit...
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have a question about a Borsalino I bought, I noticed that on the front of the hat, the sweatband is separated from the felt. Much like in Tango Yankee's picture here . . .is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Aaargh . . . beat me by a click I'm sure . . . I was kicking myself yesterday for not winning this, but I feel better knowing that it went to somebody here. Congratulations Paladin! It is definitely a great hat!
