What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Metropolis (1927) on Blu-Ray. Amazing and highly recommended. Still feels totally original - can see why its influence has lasted so long.

    L. A. Noire (video game)

What a great review! I am a little disappointed to read that the game is not completely accurate. However, I agree with his ultimate conclusion that it is better that the game exist so as to introduce a little of "our world" to others.

Set film adaptions in the period they were written!

They had a front page article in Sunday's LA times - the article states: "It takes place in the year 2016, when gasoline costs $37.50 a gallon, train travel predominates and clothes, cellphones and offices look pretty much as they do on a 'Law and Order' rerun." It also states: "The 97-minute...

I believe the game is supposed to be based on crimes that occurred in 1947. If so, I assume they will include the Black Dahlia.

    What's your alltime favorite movie?

The two movies in constant rotation are Swing Time and The Thin Man.

    Messrs Chandler and Hammett

I am partial to Chandler if only because I can see the Bryson from my office window. Seeing that building almost every day really makes Philip Marlowe come to life.

Johnny Depp in talks to Play The Thin Man

If they go forward with this project, I would vote Lauren Graham for Nora.
