If you shoot black powder, or know someone who does...used cleaning patches, rubbed over brass or copper (uncoated) will produce very nice tarnish/patina instantaneously. Will darken it considerably. Old buckskinner/historical recreation trick.

Thank you for the clarification! I do hope the different factory makes you a jacket you love. I have a couple pair of leather pants, and a loose copy of an RAF Irvin jacket, of Pakistani craftsmanship...and I've been very happy with them.

You would be correct sir! Funny thing some of us do here in the USA, myself included. I always reference my heritage, as I'm half Sicilian, quarter Polish, and quarter Irish. But I'm 100% American, born and raised. It's "Melting Pot" syndrome I guess..lol

Brass is my preference on pretty much any leather...just looks right to me, visual harmony.

To echo a few others here, I don't think I could realistically get along with just ONE leather jacket. That said...if I absolutely had to choose just one, that would serve me well across the board, I think I'd go with my G-1. Since it doesn't have a shred of insulation, it serves pretty well...
