It is very smart and the backbow makes it just that bit more interesting ( and I think you're probably right about the short brimmed fedora ). The brim is 2" and the crown 4" but sadly it's a touch too small for me ( it's a 7 1/8 ) so it's off to Ebay and I'll try again with something that fits...

Thanks , up until now I've been more a traditional English hat man ( like the Lock & Co Homburg in my avatar ) but I saw this at what I thought was a silly price ( under $20 ) and had to have it :-) I was fairly sure about the date - it was more the model if anyone has any input .
