If its a wartime party you need to think more of what you can't have than what you can ( rationing ). But I would stick to old brands like Jello and Chase& Sanborn to name a few. I also think the music is key and if its on a 78 even better. This is a great idea for a party . Wish I was there.
The Commemorative Air Force came to Jacksonville today and while I didn't get to fly on the B 29 , I did fly on the C 45 and what an experience. I drove my 41 to Cecil Field ( a decommissioned Navy base dating back to the 40s) and flew on a 40s airplane , it doesn't get any better than that.
