Hi Brad,
A tuxedo hat! Aha! Thanks for the information! I assume it's called that because it was made to be worn with a tux, correct? I tried researching it and came up blank with Dobbs.
Yes, it does have 620 and the left and 244 on the right. Does that mean it's from the 20s?
The...
I've got two fedoras for sale.
The first is a unique Dobbs with a lined brim. I've never seen one like this:

I learned it here. There's a code that Borsalino uses to date their hats. The first two numbers of that code tells the year. The code on this hat starts with "50", hence 1950. (If it's 1850, then I've REALLY got something!);)
I have three fedoras for sale on eBay.
A beautiful Borsalino (my favorite, but alas, too small):

It may sound like a cliche, but I've just become engaged to a wonderful woman whom I've been dating for the past two years.
I'm 55, she's 37. I'm white, she's Chinese. I'm divorced, she's never been married. I've got a 12-year-old son...they get along beautifully.
Anyone else in a similar...
Among the other things I do to make money, I'm on the radio in New York. I'm what's called a "relief announcer" at the classical music station and fill in for the full-time musical hosts when they're ill or go on vacation.
It's fun because I'll work different shifts, and it's every once in a...
There was a delightful little summer replacement television comedy in 1991 called "Morton and Hayes". It was conceived by Rob Reiner and the guys who did "Spinal Tap", etc. and ran for about six episodes. It was a spoof on the old comedy teams of the 1930s and 40s. They were supposedly...
Archie, hands down.
Here's why:
He's got a terrific wise guy sense of humor.
I'd probably be invited over to the brownstone for a meal.
He'd introduce me to his tailor.
I'd tag along to The Flamingo and dance with his cast-offs.;)
Does anyone here remember "The Banana Man"?
He used to appear from time to time on the old "Captain Kangaroo" television program.
He was apparently an old vaudeville comedian whose act was mostly mime. He would occasionally hum a little tune while pulling all kinds of weird things from his...
Once in a while, I like to play a little "what if" game with my friends and it might be fun to play here.
If you were suddenly sucked out of the year 2007 and plopped back into 1937, could you continue to live in the way in which your accustomed, or would you have to make some very major...
