    Singer 46-100 sewing machine

I have one. Timing is fine. Problem is needles. The needle for this machine was not widely used, if I remember correctly it is a 46x11. Nobody makes them. There is no cross reference number in any line.

What can I do to help this panama hat?

Looks to be a coconut palm braid. I would go with RBH on this one and just wet it down a bit and see if it will take a new shape. It can be professionally reblocked if it is indeed a coconut, but you can almost buy a new one for what you would have in it at that point. Jimmy

I liked that one as well, there will be a review on that one soon, though I may do a couple of others first. There are about three really good books out there. Jimmy

Can a felt brim edge be modified?

It can be done, I have done several, but you may end up closer to 2 inches. The edge doesn't fold evenly and has to be trimmed to be even. Jimmy

I made that post not to whine, but because I have talked with a few people who seemed genuinly conserned. Apparently I am not supposed to be honest and tell people what is going on. I have gotten emails that were pretty upsetting. So, I am running behind do to personal problems. The thing...
