Stick with the tailored or the "adventure" look. The sharp lines of the fedora can look out of place with overtly feminine frocks.
There are vintage ladies' type fedoras that go very well with tailored dresses.
A note of caution on the celluloid frames. They are lovely, but can be delicate. If you're going for a pair for daily wear, finding a repo pair or one with the aesthetics of old can be a good bet. I have a great celluloid pair, but I use them sparingly, as they are precious enough to me to...
Thanks so much for your input, gents! Much appreciated!! I'm glad to know that I wasn't off on my first impression of the suit. I just kind of freaked out for a second. But at least all those things that made me question if it was 70s shows there were pretty awesome "golden era" stylings that...

Ah ha! VintageBaroness beat me to it. I second NudeeDudee, and Allure Originals. :)
Also, Jitterbuggin has some cute clothes, but mostly 1940s. http://jitterbuggin.com/
The ones by Vecona are lovely! I had never heard of her.

I love seeing everyone's pyjamas!
Baroness, those polka dot ones- I STILL wish my legs were shorter so I could have gotten those from you ;)
Love the pattern, Miss Tuppence! I have never seen...
Can you tell us, what is the seam finishing like on the inside? Overlocked seams or some other finish?
I'm leaning towards 1940s, but the ruffle at the hem and the print (like Sunni says) have me a little thrown off.
I can't wait to see that. They're going to be awesome. Sorry, my shop is closed at present but will be reopening soon. There's a pic of the ones I made on Facebook here.
