I haven't extensively searched for such, but I can't say I have personally stumbled on anything heavier than 12 oz that's still marketed with a super number. Light by vintage standards, but in modern suiting it edges on the heavier side of the scale.
It is still possible to get "old-world" style fabrics - traditional companies like Fox, Harrisons, Dugdale, H. Lesser (and probably others) have lines that are very vintage-y in weight & look, though the patterns and colors tend to lean towards the conservative side. Naturally, you're unlikely...
Summer was around the corner, and I didn't really have many light colored hats in my stock, so...
My second hat from Art, and once again I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
I have a 60ies charcoal Borsalino "San Remo" that I really like the shape of - but as...
E. R. Wahlman actually also sell a limited sortiment of men's dress hats, and while limited, it still probably is the widest selection of hats you can find in retail up here.
I recall my grandfather having a license-made stetson, might still have it tucked away in some closet at my parents...
I havn't tried matching it with much yet, but obviously whites, and light tones in general seem like a good pairing, which is what the majority of my wardrobe consists of during the summer/spring months.
As usual, colors shift depending on the lightning - indoors it really is a very...
I had long contempolated on taking the plunge for a custom from Art, and finally decided to take the plunge sometime early spring after seeing the latest and greatest from The Official Art Fawcett Product Advertizing Bure... err, I mean our esteemed fellow member Daizawaguy :D.

Then again, It's not a Stetson Whippet, it only looks the part :D.

Always amazed how people can nail these things so well from the tiniest details, but I guess when you have a sufficient range of samples you eventually end up finding patterns.
Wow, that one is a real killer, wish I'd seen it :(.
In other news, I picked up this Knox "Sixteen-Fifty" some time ago (currently on its way to Optimo for a resize), and I was wondering about its potential age - The seller says 40ies and I guess it'd be somewhere thereabouts, but thought...
Thanks, I'm sure I will - I had actually promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more brown hats as I have so many, but this one appeared to just click too well to pass up.
It will also be my first large-crown non-stingy fuzzy, so it did kind of fill a niche I didn't have, Or that's at least...
