    Pre- 1940s Stetson dress hats.

Thanks, Daniel .. no tags survived on this one. I'm not super well versed in the old Stetson's but I find the ribbon treatment vs raw edge interesting and I think uncommon? To me hat has a "going to town" western thing going on.

    Post New Hats Here!

Pretty sure these Borsa's were made specifically for the US market and yeah ... they're really fine fine lids. I have one in brown that I'll never part with. Are you sure threads are popped? These hats usually had a sweat barrier at front section of sweat between sweat and felt. It does "appear"...

30s? Stetson with replaced sweat by Shudde Bros.

    Pre- 1940s Stetson dress hats.

I'd like to leave it to the experts to tell me what model and age this Stetson is. Too bad about tear at liner tip. Un reeded Shudde Bros replacement sweat was made by Asepto Leather which I read went out of business in the 30s. Thin felt that molds like the proverbial clay. Feels like a large...

    Musician's hats

Albert was a total monster and one of those players where you hear one note and know immediately it's him. Jimi didn't play "upside down" he was simply a lefty. I bet he could to a certain degree as lefty's get handed righty guitars strung normally all the time so they learn to deal ha. We're...

    Musician's hats

Bite your tongue! ; ) Garth is still with us fortunately. There's no overestimating the importance of The Band if you're a music lover. Besides their collective and individual output, they were an inflection point for "popular" music: there's what pop music sounded like before The Band .. and...

    Post New Hats Here!

I poked around a little on the FL and I'm not sure white combination tag on it's own gets us to a specific era as they turn up on Stetson's within a 30-40 year range(?) Furthermore .. there doesn't even seem to be a consensus why they're there, tho expertitos seem to lean towards white tags...

    Post New Hats Here!

This guy was poorly represented up on the ole' ebay .. I recognized the styling on sweat as well as where hat was sold from. I'm guessing it's an old No1? Felt is really wonderful and is very thin, soft and more dress weight like. First Stetson for me with white combination tag. Nothing...

    Pre 1940s Stetson Westerns

Thanks, Daniel .. if my memory serves "V" stitching puts a Stetson at 20s or earlier? Fwiw, art work on box looks very deco. 1914 here .. not sure when store finally closed or what everyone's looking at in picture.
