Not sure if your price is too high but I do know that its very easy to trima brim down. Just use a pair of sharp scissors and a little sandpaper to finish it off. You might also find that gently steaming a curl into the sides of the brim might make it suit your face better.

I don't know Borsalinos. I had read that the serial numbers gave the year of manufacture but if it is older so much the better. Do you have an idea on its age?

I have a vintage Stetson Open Road and am looking for a liner for it. Specifically I would like the one with the man and his horse design in the older version. Has anybody got one or any suggestions where to look other than ebay?

after all that soaking you didn't need a reblock? what did you do with the ribbon and sweatband? it would seem to me that boiling a hat would ruin its shape

Just to mention that the Akubra Federation is exactly the same hat design as the Akubra Campdraft which is the same as the Stetson Open Road. The Campdraft and Open Road have thin ribbons however and Open Road was mostly available in lighter shades such as light grey and silver belly but it is...
