Thanks! I don't even know... are TONAK and Huckel different company or style names similar to Selentinos?

Hückel (originally Austrian - German) was nationalized as TONAK (also PolkaP in Poland) after WWII. Pre 1945 Hückel made the worlds finest velour finishes (see my Hückel Sigma Velour). Today Selentino is a TONAK brand name (North America) as is Hückel. You can see the entire history here.

Where is JtL?

Jimmy the Lid is conspicuously absent lately. Is he vacationing or is there a personal issue. Has anyone heard from him?

My new Campdraft whole day long.. it even had a good outdoor-shower so I had the opportunity to fixate the diamond-crease I've put in it.. This hat snugs up to an exellent fit allready.

Panama from David Morgan

Nothing really impressive, just a $65 Panama hat from David Morgan. I got a XXL and it almost feels too big, but that's probably because I'm used to having to wear hats a little snug out of sheer necessity.

Not a great hat by any stretch but completely serviceable.

I took my new Park Crest silver belly OR/Strat clone off the hat stretcher today, and it fits about like a 7 5/8 on my 7 3/4 noggin. I'm not going to be able to stretch it any more or the sweatband stitching is going to come loose (it's already started to a little), so I'm either going to get it professionally stretched and reblocked, or, if it keeps wanting to shrink back down too much, pass it along to someone with a slightly smaller head--for cheap of course. I've gotten a lot of my money's worth just by playing around with this hat and trying different things.

I fired up the teapot today and bashed it into a diamond crown with a pinch, and also tamed the brim a little.

This is what it looked like when I got it:

Here's what it looks like now:

I'm pretty pleased with the results, so I think I'll keep it this way. I've always been a sucker for a diamond crown. :D And I guess I didn't technically "wear" this hat today, but I did try it on a lot when I was shaping it.;)

Diamonds? Man, those look like dollar signs to me. Let's see more of that pug!

You certainly have the t-shirt right but you need some spectacles hanging off your nose! I took Mr. Bubbles out yesterday and the brim was just flapping in the wind like a big bird - just what the old hat needed.

Whippet today expecting a drenching but I missed the deluge.
