Counting backwards: Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, M.S. in Ocean Engineering, B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, 5-level (not-quite-journeyman) certification as an Aircraft Machinist in the USAF.
As many have noted here, if you're not always learning, something's missing in your life. I've found that teaching has the most edifying way of exposing the many gaps in my education. It's sort of like road repair here in Michigan: you either put in the work, or what was a reasonably smooth surface is a mess of potholes in a couple of seasons.

You can never stop learning even if you're retired. You fall into complacency and then you deteriorate and fast.

Make the most of it while you can--if they hadn't term-limited me out like a bad politician, I'd probably still be in fulltime trying to check off every course in the catalog for my transcript.LOL

US Navy RTC (ie boot camp) in San Diego in March 1988
US Navy Airman Apprentice School April 1988
US Navy Flight Deck Firefighting school June 1989
Bachelors Degree in History Dec 1993
Ohio State Correctional Training Academy Feb 2005
Still trying to decide what I wanna be when I grow up.....

I graduated with my BSEE from University of Illinois in 1983. It cost enough then, that I've only seen the diploma once, it's in my parents fire safe. To really screw with the youngster's minds, my tuition was $155 a semester total, not including books and the dorm. Now just the activity fee is $800 something a semester, according to the neighbors. I was so glad to get to a 40 hour work week that I have never returned to college. Junior year, I spent 40 hours a week on a two hour credit lab class, build microcomputer by hand...
Besides college, I'm overly certified by the NRA: Rifle, Shotgun, and Pistol Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Rifle Coach.
