Today I'm wearing

a Michael Stearns suit I picked up at a St Vincent de Paul thrift store for $10,
a white dress shirt with silver and abalone studs and cuff links, My Fathers bow tie (I took a crash course on how to tie a bow tie from and internet video) first time I have ever tied a bow tie, My Bailey Homburg and walking stick from Hatcetera in Green Bay. My wife and I are off to Red Lobster to celebrate our 30th (Pearl) wedding anniversary.

Not today but a few weeks ago. Failing to learn how to lindy hop at a 1940s themed evening... 1950s British suit, 1940s deco tie, bespoke shirt, and old Johnson and Murphy two tone leather and linen bluchers.

I had a little mini photoshoot today to get some pics to send to a modeling agency in Milan. (fingers crossed on that one)
So, this is what I was wearing:

50s St. Regis special
Gray wool blend trousers (Used, but not vintage)
Custom vest/waistcoat (suspenders/braces underneath)
Cream linen jacket.
Scarf of unknown material and age.
Cheap poly pocket handkerchief.

Here's a headshot for the scarf pattern:

Edit: I just realized that this is the exact same thing I was wearing last post. Oops.

Well Alan, this photo answered the question; Boxers or Briefs? :p

It actually answers the question, "Are the pockets deep?"

To address the earlier comments, what you see through the trousers are the front pockets, not my undies.
I understand. Pockets. Got it. Sorry, I didn't mean it as an insult.

Same thing I was thinking. That and what an odd comment.

FYI, beware of lightweight summer trousers in white/cream as they have a tendency to be somewhat transparent, thereby showing traces of undergarments. I'm a boxer man so when I wear such trousers people will invariably point out than they can see my undies. I always respond with a laugh and a wink. I realize that a switch to briefs would end such comments but I'd rather be comfortable.

Again, my apologies to Alan if he took offense.:)

No offense taken. My retort to the young fellow who pointed out that they were somewhat see through was, "Next time I'll have to remember to wear underwear, then." ;)

TONIGHT: (Intermediate) T-A-NGO! A good workout! Teacher emailed me mid afternoon saying she needed a lady to fill in for the Int. Tango class. Learned some great new steps! Red knit dress I've had for several years-store long gone, label long removed. Nude Go Go Ballroom shoes, Sorelli bracelet, Borghese Gallery earrings, hosiery worn for class but not in this pic. Picture taken after class when I got home. Ya can't tell from this but I'm soaked in sweat here, as the building for the dance class had no air circulation, and it was a very warm evening.

Almost a nautical look - the stripes, I think? Puts me in mind of some of the wearable end of Gaultier's designs. I do like that undershirt... never seen one before, though I have the long-sleeve equivalent. Less practical than a plain white one for many purposes, but it looks great under a solid-coloured casual shirt, and I can imagine it pairing well with a blue-hued Hawaiian shirt...
