Hello Ladies,
This is the first time I've posted something I've made (please be gentle!)

It's one of those projects that I got halfway through & put aside & forgot about, so I'm glad it's done (but I think I'll re set the right sleeve).

Here's the next project

Oooh... LD, the overalls with detachable bib is exactly the kind of pattern I'm looking for right now. Any repros out there that you know of?

Thank you ladies sooo much. It seriously makes my day to read your comments, especially since I never think my own sewing is that great. Thank you!!

Also - Lolly Loisides That dress is really great! I'm jealous of your next project. That pattern looks lovely.

Lolly Loisides, I absolutely love that dress! The color is perfect too!

I envy all you gals who create such beautiful projects, I can't sew but maybe oneday I'll put my crochet hook down and dust off my sewing machine and give it a try. Everything about sewing scares me.

I finally found a way to combine my love of vintage, and all the tutus! lol I used Simplicity 2029 vintage childrens pattern for the dress (I did change the skirt to a circle skirt to accommodate the tulle) That's 20 yards of tulle for about a size 2t. :)

I've been thinking of making a tutu for Lilypie when she's old enough to play dress up. 20 yards? How wide is it?

Baby doll, I bought 5 yards of pink and orange, then cut it into two long strips that where 10 inches wide for each color. So I ended up with 10 yard by 10 inch strips. Then I did a rolled hem on one side of each strip then gathered them both at the same time on the serger. I was doing the tied tutus for a while, but I so love how these are looking! It is separate from the dress so you can wear just the tutu.

I finished this cotton dress recently--just in time for cold weather!

It was my first attempt at my favorite dress pattern from 1939. I intended to make it as a "wearable muslin" because I was unsure if it would fit correctly, but in fact it fits me perfectly (not a single alteration needed, not one!), and it came together with no mishaps! Hooray!

And here's the pattern, I made View 2 minus the tie belt.
