I can't wait for this film. Cap is my favorite character, both original and ultimate. I was a bit skeptical when it was first announced, but after seeing the costume pics (even though they're of the stunt double) my worries have been put to bed.

I've had my doubts about this new installment since hearing about it a couple of years ago, but those photos seem to have changed my mind. Now I'm really looking forward to it!

It looks like they've got the WWII details down pretty good. Love that MLA bike!

I think that everyone has fallen in love with that bike. I knew a gal in Texas who had one, one hundred percent rebuilt, redone, with the OD paint job and star. Man, what a beautiful bike.

Spoiler Alert!

Just found this blog - see link below.

WARNING - Spoilers ahoy! I hope it's enough of a taster without giving away too much. To be honest, I feel a bit guilty about posting this, but since it's easily found online anyway, and doesn't appear to have received a 'cease and desist' (yet), I thought what the heck. Mods, if this breaks any rules, please remove it and give me a clip round the ear...

If nothing else, the vintage atmosphere of this seems to be pretty good.

I haven't been able to get along there for a look myself yet, but hopefully I'll manage over the next couple of nights. Knowing my luck, they'll have finished by the time I get there... Anyway:

I am registered with an extras agency, and they have so far asked me 5 times if I'd like to be put forward for Captain America, 5 times I've said yes, and 5 times the production team have turned me down! Given that I actually look 1940s in my agency picture, I can only assume they think I'd be a pain in the bum when being costumed. 'This hair isn't authentic enough!' 'Can I please reapply my lipstick myself?' ... I so would be a pain! lol

Fleur that's a shame you didn't get in the show, looking at these photos, its seems like a great production.

Let's see those photos from the EW issue:

Cover: Pure awesome with that costume, I dig the fabric.

I was hoping for some shots of him in regular uniform, awesome.

Hugo looks like such an Evil guy, perfect casting:

I love the set for the transformation, that machine looks great:

Another great shot of Cap sneaking out to fight:

And this has to be my favorite shot... CLASSIC CAP SHIELD OH MAN!

Maybe it's height? You know how they didn't have any tall ladies back in the Forties, according to Hollywood....

What agency are you with? It's something I'd like to get into. Money no issue, it's what I'd do professionally, but alas I need to hold down the day job to afford luxuries like food and a roof over me head.... ;) I'd like to get into the game a bit, but I wasn't sure I'd be able to find an agency that would want to work around the day job...

Maybe they just didn't want you stealing the show from Hayley Atwell, the female lead! That's their loss!;)

Wearing a set of blue pyjamas just isn't right for bashing Nazis these days. So Captain America has updated his look for the forthcoming film.

That jacket looks a bit Aero to me.

Wow...don't know what to make out of that outfit. Are those actual promotional stills from the upcoming movie???

I imagine revealing the suit we're used to, and acquiring the trademark shield, are being reserved for climax points in the film - makes for good storytelling. Movies that tease and hold back on what you're waiting to see are often much more effective for it.

But, it's a MODERN Harley Davidson dolled up to look like a vintage ride.... weren't WLA's opposed cylinders?

Yes, they were. But there were vertical twins used during that war time, as well. Current HDs are so similar in shape to their bikes of 60 years ago that it usually works for general audiences when they dress up (or down) a current model. Discerning bikers, er, motorcyclists, can, for instance, tell a flathead from an evo or twin-cam, and a rigid from a soft tail. ;o)

we're getting at least 3 different versions of the suit in the movie. The USO version which supposedly looks much like the original comic (hence the classic shield shaped shield), and thus rather ridiculous in live action. The modified with leather jacket and helmet version inspired by the Marvel Ultimate version of Captain America. and the Final suit with round shield as seen on the EW cover.
