Does anyone wear a sharkskin suit anymore?

Sharkskin I could understand as it is flashy. Tho there are toned down versions. But yes, perhaps more appropriate for eveningwear.
But Seersucker? Even the US Senate celebrate the annual seersucker day!

I have three sharkskin suits I picked up at thrift stores. One dark green and one burgandy-green, both from the early 60s. The other is also dark green, but I'm pretty sure it's from the early 80's Mod Revival era (plastic zipper, etc.) All are slim-cut with skinny lapels. I wear them with skinny ties and stingy-brim fedoras.

The sheen of the fabric definitely stands out, so they're not conservative...but wearing a suit in my area is conservative of itself.

Seersucker is great for the derby, not so great for the mortuary. The charming wrinkles would look sloppy to many.
