Hi I am Tony from Chicago. I am a young 54 years old. I always wanted to wear a fedora but I always felt I did not fit it. Now I have arrived, as it were, and I wear my fedoras everyday. My favorite are my Champ Kasmir, but I also own to Royal stetson and some no mane fedoras which are no way as near the quality of my Champ. I am blind so I don't really know how I look in my fedoras, but I can tell you they make me feel great.

Thanks for all the post. I have learned so much about the history, care and styles of fedoras.

Welcome to you Tony. Although you cannot see, you probably have a great feel for the quality of your hats. I wore hats infrequently when I was younger, but upon approaching 50, I decided to wear them regularly, after all, I have a bald spot to protect. I also get nice comments on them.

Glad to have you with us.

Hi there Tony and welcome. This is a good group of people. I too would have felt strange wearing a fedora around Oklahoma since they are rarely seen here (this is a cowboy hat state). Now though I just figure these people around here don't know what they are missing.

Hey fellas! It's great to finally be aboard. My name is Gary, and I'm a photographer in the Montreal area. Last year I restored a vintage 1948 Graflex press camera that had once belonged to my father (also a photographer) but it just didn't feel right to take this old warhorse camera out without the right lid. That's when I figured I needed a fedora. Got mine from Miller Hats and I'm very happy with it.

Welcome to The Fedora Lounge Tony & Gary! I may be biased, but this is the friendliest and most informative Fedora/Hat Community/Forum you`re likely to find "out there". :)

Good for you,Tony, sporting your cool fedoras on a regular basis.I`ll bet you look tres cool, sir. I echo your love of those vintage CHAMPS and always get comments on my CHAMP Check Mate here. Get a vintage 60`s RESISTOL if you can--I guarentee you`ll LOVE it!

Gary, you should be an "old fashioned" 30s/40s newspaper photographer for Halloween, bro!! The vintage camera you restored...is it like the kind you see in the classics? With the big old flash bulb "bowl"? Love how they`d always hurl the spent flash bulbs with abandon. Pic of your classic cam, please? :)
