DC# will be posted in the morning, I thank you for allowing me to be a part of this and I appreciate how patient everyone was. I took the hat around Staten Island, and snapped a few pictures in Historic Richmondtown on Staten Island. The hat did not fit but meh it was fun and I snapped them with me wearing it anyway....never realized how hard it would be to setup a camera on a tripod and watch a 2yr old girl at the same time :)

Dunns Mill:
This mill was built near the site of a gristmill run by John Dunn from 1800 to the 1820s. During the 1700s and 1800s var- ious types of mills dotted the region. The Mill Pond, part of the Staten Island Blue Belt program, is landscaped with plants indigenous to Staten Island.

M. Black's Fine Groceries and Provisions

Print Shop
This one-room building served as grocery store in the early 1900s, and was later used as a residence. It is furnished to represent a small job printing shop c.1825-1860. Relocated from Eltingville.

The first building constructed in Richmond Town for official government purposes, it was "Twelve foot in breadth and Fourteen foot long." The two story stone prison was used as a county building until 1741 when a new jail was completed.

You sir are a stronger man than I am. In my not-so-short time with the Traveling Hat, even if I didn't wear it, it was nice to pull it out of the box and admire it (some would say fondle, but I'll stick with admire). So for you to get it sent out that quick is admirable. I had imagined it might get a chance to see a few Christmas parties around the New York area first.

The hat is in flight once again, sad to see it go but onto the next destination it goes! Heads up WA!

Postage sure has gone up since I last mailed something not in a small flat rate priority box LOL!

hmmmmm, The Hat was not at the post office when I checked today, despite what the tracking number says. No matter, I'm sure it's there. I will go back on Friday with print-out in hand and search the joint myself ;).

Any requests for pics in Seattle? Filson factory? Top of the Space Needle?

Qwest Field on the 28th so we can see the Chiefs squash the Sea Hawks! :D

It will take a long lens to find you there from the Space Needle. :eek:

Filson factory? Do we get a tour? :D

The Hat has arrived in the Emerald City!

I was able to retrieve The Hat from the post office today. Everything looks fine and I will be taking it on a tour of the city soon :D.

Well I won't be taking it to Qwest field on Sunday, but I do like the idea of taking a picture from the bottom of the Space Needle and just saying that I was up at the top (It would save about 40 buck too) ;)

I don't know about a Filson factory tour, but I'm sure they will let me take pictures in their showroom, which is in the same building. I'll see what I can do.
