I just had an idea on the whole nose art thing...

A A2 jacket back series...

The photo is taken from about 15 feet up with the model laying down on a dark brown tarp. Above her is an actual painted name of the plane, painted just like the original and the girl models just the original. And on film, it looks like the real thing.

Does this make sense? It's late and I"m tired. But you got me brainstorming...

the lady in the picture is a friend of mine from kansas city. she is a model who likes the classic pinups style.

She would love to have one of you guys paint her on a jacket....er...paint her likeness on a jacket....

On the contrary Mark, she's very easy on the eye and I dare say a queue is forming as we speak of boys with paint brushes wanting to be budding Picasso's!! She'd make a cracking model for a painting on the side of an old B-17 and a few old aircrew would turn in their graves seeing that babe on their bird.
But to save the boys here an early grave as their tickers stop ticking, I had to throw an old army great coat of mine over her and escort her off the premises (but got her phone number just to make sure she got home to Kansas alright and not end up on the Yellow Brick Road!!).

That sounds great. So let me understand this. Other than the jacket artist, are you saying there are others that wants to paint her on a real plane ???

If so, I can contact her and let her know. She was very interested in the jacket when i named it "the kansas city bomber"...

I really wanted the Hemi Hiney" in honor of the WWII planes that had the original hemi in it.

Thank you boys for all the nice feedback ;)

The photographer is still working on this project to make it look more authentic (because that's what it's all about :)) But I like your idea shamus--perhaps you can explain it a bit more when are more awake ;)

I'm really excited about this project--since I am unable to do as much reenacting as I would like, this is my tribute to our war heroes.
