Dusting powder

I'm curious about using dusting powder. Is this mainly a warm weather tradition? Is it strictly for after a bath or is also for after showering? I always use lotion after a shower but the idea of using a powder puff to apply powder just sounds so elegant! *swoon* ;)

Hello,
I use dusting powder in all seasons. I use it after bath or shower, or on days where I don't do either, I still use it. I generally like to powder in areas where things like bra bands, underwear, and so on sit. It helps make everything feel nice and silky. In the summer I use it instead of lotion, whereas in the winter I'll use lotion at night before bed and dusting powder before sleeping.

Soapalaya Soaps on Etsy sells cute little dish + powder puff + powder sets, and her powder is talc-free. She has lots of scents, the sift on the powder is fine, and it goes on nice and smooth. I recommend it. I also use the Silky Underwear powder by Lush, which has a bit bigger sift to it, but contains cocoa butter so it moisturizes and is powder, somehow, all at once. And it smells nice :)

Hope that helps!

Mom always used it and so do I. Only problem is it is harder to find nice ones now with puffs. I wish I could find one of the wands with powder already in them. Anyone remember them?
I currently use Estee Lauder Pleasures powder. Smells very nice. In a lavender powder box.

I have a Shalimar-scented dusting powder that I use sometimes. I know Estee Lauder and Chanel make nice-looking ones scented with their classic perfumes, too.

I have a rose-scented powder that I use... when I remember to. It has a cute tin and a powder-puff though which is nice. It does make me feel a bit more glamorous actually, that extra step makes me feel a bit pampered xx

Like Foofoo, my Mum used dusting powder too & I always powder after bathing & showering.
I use lotion on my arms & legs and powder on my torso. Sometime ago I bought a lovely tin of powder with a puff, I just refill it with whatever I can afford (because there's nothing wrong with Johnson's baby powder).

I bought Emeraude dusting powder recently (scent launched in 1921) and it came with a nice puff, although the box itself is plastic and a bit tacky looking. It's lovely powder though. (It's still available for next to nothing on FragranceX.)

I use an assortment of Lush dusting powders-- whichever suits my mood of the day. I use mine after bath and lotion, once I'm dry. There's nothing worse than powder over damp skin. *shudder*

Maja!

I have been using Maja shower gel, lotion and dusting powder lately. It comes in a swell red and black powder box with a puff. And the scent is mostly sandalwood, find it goes well with my winter perfumes.
