Here are some of my favorites that I've made:

By far my favorite!! Such a great shape!! This could convince me to go back to doilies!

Rather "simple" to make. I think it took me a couple of days to finish it. The central circle is all one piece worked in rounds, and the three pineapples on either end are worked after you've done the center. I made it for my bedside table. It's lovely.

Thanks. :) I did the variegated blue up until the first part of the pineapple, and then switched to the solid blue. It went to my blue-loving sister. I think the switch in color makes the pattern of the pineapples really stand out. :)

I'm sure it's size 10 thread, and it was whatever brand is available at Michael's/Joann's (our local craft supply stores). I think it is either South Maid crochet cotton, or Coats and Clark's Knit-Cro-Sheen. As for colors, anything beyond white/ecru is very limited in stores, so I grabbed whatever colors I could when I could. I have many of the metallic wrapped (great for making snowflakes, but a beast to work with because of the metallic wrapping), and a variety of pastels. I really want to find some peach or light orange size 10. I think it would look lovely as a doily.

That sized thread is always so limited in color. I love the traditional white or the off white, but when it comes to crocheting something like a 20s Roman purse, or something more of an exotic nature, it's always very difficult to find material.

Cherry Red I love it. I made a similar one years back except I folded mine over and used brown yarn. It didn't look as good as yours. That bright red must have been tough on the eyes.

I have a bunch of knit and crochet patterns from books and mail order patterns that I have aquired over the years. What is the best way to share them with ovther people? will it workI just scan the pages and upload them? I don't knit so I'd love people who do to enjoy them.

Oh yes, if you just scan them, it would be wonderful. The great thing about it is they're so much easier to distribute than sewing patterns.

Here's something similar to cherry red's purse that i've been wanting to crochet for a long time:
