Rodkins, that Dobbs is special! It's a great looking lid, and you sport it on your noggin with aplomb.

Kaonashi, that looks like a really cool "night on the town" hat. I'd wear that one out to jazz clubs. I think you did well. Merry Christmas.

Beverly Hills Deluxe Quality

An unworn hat from a seldom encountered maker. The felt is of wonderful quality, and easily shaped, but unfortunately the moths liked grazing upon it as well.

Additional hat details and photographs in the Got White thread.

That is the first Beverly Hills hat I have ever seen. Very nice, I like the way the color can change from white to light blue in different light.

Awesome hat! Very cool. Have you tried to minimize the moth damage by some of the tricks relayed on the FL?

That looks like some of the eclesiastical felt hats I saw worn by many of the priests in the Vatican when I was there several years ago. Do you know if it is ?

It is some what similar to my Lembert Rieser (not church related) but this hat has a wider stiffer Bowler like brim. My guess is that it isn't specifically a priest hat although it might have been worn by one.

By the way I really like seeing interesting old hats like this one. Way to go Robert!

Side note:

Ateha (this one might be church related)

OOhhh! I like that, I've got me eye out for a white hat next!

Thanks, but I sure hope you are one of our microcephalic brethren! lol

Thank you, Dennis. This hat is very difficult to photograph and accurately depict the color, like snow is sometimes under certain lighting, and it does not actually have the light blue undertone seen in the outdoor photo. I will try to post some additional photos in the Got White thread that better capture the true color, a slightly dusky white.

Thanks, Mike! I have not yet consulted the resources of the lounge with regard to moth damage restoration. Will do so presently as it will get extensive noggin time.

really clean, and sharp looking, rlk! I think I have the Dobbs equivalent. Not new, but probably my most comfortable summer hat, and my only Milan. Congrats!

Getting ready for spring, just got this Dobbs Winner today. Pretty good deal, $57 from Hartford York. I bought a 7 3/4, and the sticker on the inside of the sweatband said 7 3/4, but the tag, as you can see, says 63 - 7 7/8. Not sure what's up with that, but it fits perfectly. Very nice leather sweatband. I'm not crazy about the puggaree, so I'm thinking I'll replace it with a solid black or maybe a striped pug, but I'll give it a chance to grow on me.

2 new hats and one I've had all my life.

First an old borsalino:

It needs a little bit of work, but I think it will be a fine hat.

Next up, a new hat I purchased from a jewish hat shop. I'm not sure of the company that makes it, but it was made by the czech republic.

It needed to be reshaped to look right, but now that it's done, it's a fine hat.

this next one my father gave me. I've been wearing it since it was twice the size of my head :) he has about the same size head as me, although he has over 100 lbs on me...It's not new, but I thought I would throw it in there. this one is wool felt, the other two are fur.
