Annichen, your hair is absolutely stunning!!

I'd love to know how you set it; I have rather long hair and haven't figured out how to fingerwave it myself yet.

Thank you all for your kind comments!

It looks even prettier that way, now you need a vintage hair comb for the right side :).
I most certainly do!

MissLaurieMarie that is a very cute hairdo!

Annichen, that’s very pretty. How do you make the bun?

Juliet, you look lovely!

Thanks! :)

Juliet, I'm the same! I tend to just grab the scissors and hack away when I'm bored! It turned out lovely, well done!
Annichen, beautiful hair!

I haven't posted anything here for a while because my hair has been pretty standard lately, but I was pretty pleased with my victory rolls today because my fringe is finally getting long enough to get incorporated into the rolls. Excuse the level of vanity with the editing etc :D

you're certainly not Juliet, haha! thank you, it took a while to get the hang of it, you just have to find a way that works for you, everyone seems to do it differently!

:eek:fftopic: I just have to ask... I have some friends from eastern europe and they always put lots of parentheses after words, like this))), what does it mean? Is it like a smile? haha. I always wondered!

It is! Several smiles - basically just skipping the " : " in the " : ) "

Yes, but your rolls suit you to perfection! My make me look as if I'm trying to conceal growing horns! lol

Annichen, please do give us some pointers on how you did your waves (and the back). I have recently started trying waves and haven't managed to get them as defined as yours, I would love some tips. Beautiful!

Oh my gosh..I am a mess at explaining.
How about if I try to take some photos when I find the time..I use 3 different methods to do 30s waves, this time it was done with wave clips.

Too cute Lolita!!! Va-va-va-voom!! ;)

I have a question for those of you who stretch your sets out. I've been doing a good job of setting my hair only once a week with the help of nightly pincurls. I bought some rosewater to keep my hair smelling fresh but how do y'all deal with the itchies? My scalp always starts to itch by the end of the week. I was going to post this in the "how often do you set your hair" thread but the last question I asked there didn't get answered and this thread seems a LOT more active :)

Lolita, you always have gorgeous, voluminous hair and it looks so shiny for being so white. Do you do anything special so that you don't completely terrorize your hair when you bleach it?

here!
Just a simple double rolls do.

LolitaHaze, great hair! Can I ask- do you have a middy cut, and if so, is it layered? I ask because I have an unlayered middy, and my hair is about your length in the back, and whilst the back of yours looks lovely and curly, I always seem to get only long straight bits with a few wispy curls. I'm getting my hair cut on Monday and I was thinking layers might be the solution- can you advise, seeing as your hair is long but takes curl well at the back?

Also-
how do y'all deal with the itchies? My scalp always starts to itch by the end of the week.

I set my hair between every 5 and 7 days, and I have this issue too. I find it's bearable, but I think if the itching is bad enough to distract you then you probably ought to sacrifice a day or two of your set. Are you using a good cleansing shampoo to really get rid of all the buildup when you wash?
