Gorgeous lace work, maristella! I raise Shetlands and have always loved the traditional shawls. Unfortunately I'm not quite good enough yet to spin cobweb weight or knit a wedding shawl that can be pulled through my wedding ring. Let's just say it's on the Bucket List.

Great rug love it!!!! I was looking at making my own braided rug but I really lack to free time to do it

Wow,I am impressed that anyone would take all the time to stitch and press the strips for a rag rug!
Here is the one I spent a good month crocheting 'back in the day".

The rolling baby is my daughter who is now nearly 30!
I didn't take the care you did, I just tore strips from lots of remnant fabrics.

crwritt - All the rugs I had seen were done the way you said, with raw edges. I didn't like the idea of having strings all over so decided to iron the strips. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the ironing and use a Braid-Aid like is done with wool rug braiding. Would be much quicker!

You are right, it did have strings, but after a few vacuummings not much string was left. It was so long ago I can't remember what became of it.I remember my grandmother using a braidaid gadget.

I've been making snoods and other hair goodies.
Here are two.
One is just a nice Spring/Easter color inspired and the other I call Time Lady. The bow is removable and can be worn just as a barrette, has a clock face in the middle.

Those snoods are really cute, did you use a pattern?

The other day, I went to my grandma's birthday, all dressed up. My cousin called me "a dream from the fifties" - yay

. But one thing was bothering me. While my outfit and all accessories were vintage (or at least vintage inspired), I was carrying my old plastic handkerchief packs and my mobile phone.
That's what I did about it:

What do you think - will this go better with a vintage outfit?
Or is it rather wannabe?

btw - I didn't put this in "vintage crochet" cause it's not really vintage, I used no vintage pattern, just freestyle. I hope this is the correct section to post.

Thanks BoPeep. This may be my first mention on the Lounge of my spinning hobby. Most of my crafted posts have been sewing projects.

I did finally finish my sweetie's vest. It's a touch small but it's done and he requested I make another, though he agreed I don't need to go from dirty fleece to vest. Here's a pic:
