Hello!
It is commonly known that velvet collars are used for overcoats, especially Chesterfields:
Also some know that velvet collars can be used for dress coats, too (here is not a full dress, but also a dress coat):
Now I go further. What do you think about using a velvet collar not only for aforementioned garments, but also for morning coat or lounge coat? There are no pictures of the first, but you can imagine it; as for the latter, here are some photos:
Velvet cuffs are also an interesting concept:
