What are you wearing today??

It was forecast to be warm today so I wore a lighter weight suit. Apologies for the poor picture quality.

-Modern suit (teal in colour)
-Vintage bow tie (could be 60s)
-70s waistcoat
-Parrot feather in hat
-These shoes:

I was asked whether I was from the Untouchables to which I replied that I was retired, and then whether I had come from the 1920s to which I replied that I left my time machine around the corner. I couldn't be bothered to point out that I'd tried to go for an early 50s inspired look with the low gorge, low buttoning bold look reminiscient suit.

What a wore for my job at a diner. A patron told me I reminded him of Felix Frankfurter. He normally refers to me as "Back to the Future". The tie dates to no later than 1966, and the waistcoat, being partially made of polyester is probably of more recent manufacture. Everything else is modern.

Particularly love the sepia (?) toned picture. Would have loved to seen this same shot with your young son wearing a little sailor shirt or some other type of vintage style shirt, etc. Does your pretty wife perchance happen to know how to sew?

Thanks. They're British made and I got them for £65 from a fancy dress/vintage shop which is closing down. I can get you a pair if you're interested, but not in size ten as they only stock one of each size and I've taken the ten.

Cherry- you look adorable. I'm obsessed with big circle skirts at the moment. I think they're perfect for summer and all. Any idea what era the skirt is?

^Thanks! (You look adorable too btw, I esp loved you hair and legs(!) in the last post.) The skirt is 70s, but that doesn't make me love it any less! The label is Tumbleweeds, most have been a good one.

Nothing wrong with later vintage- usually things from the 70's and 80's are all I can find that will actually fit my not so 1940's frame

It's a lovely buy!

Thanks Chanteuse Carey! Unfortunately she can not sew, I do a little and I've toyed with the idea of making him a vintage style sailor shirt. I've got to find a pattern first

Vintage linen dress I'm guessing 50's maybe late 40's. Handmade and fits almost perfect. Shoes are some cheapy off brand I picked up on a goth website for $10. Still kicking 5 years later
